Fear is our subconscious way of keeping us safe, but occasionally our brain can learn to place a fearful association onto something that we don’t need or want it to.
Hypnotherapy is a very effective way of changing those associations, because it allows us the opportunity to change our thoughts at a subconscious level. This is why someone simply telling you to stop worrying isn’t effective, because they are talking to the conscious part of the brain (ie the part that knows it is ridiculous!). Hypnotherapy helps guide your mind into a deep state of relaxation (while still being alert and conscious at all times) which can effectively allow you to build more helpful behavioural patterns.
